November 2021
Following an extensive callout for exciting, interdisciplinary LGBTQIA+ performers, @Disturbance
ran its third event on 30 November 2021. We welcomed a group of radical international artists who
delivered an extraordinary evening showcase for 100 visitors, introducing them to fresh aesthetics
and unheard voices.
It followed a week-long residency where the artists and creative team worked intensively, culminating in
a sequence of gripping, disruptive performances on the evening of 30 November 2021. These included
durational performances, a monumental projection screening in our garage, artists that performed both
on stage and within the audience while others built installations, with stunning decor throughout.
These performances were live-streamed alongside bespoke video screenings and digital art from
Laura Lynes with Billy Leach, Llewellyn Mnguni and Jake Wood.
The third edition was supported by Arts Council England and was delivered with both live and digital
viewers in mind, allowing visitors to tune in from anywhere in the world. It was made possible with
help from Ugly Duck’s in-house panel of producers, artists and curators.
