@Disturbance #2

February 2021

Our second event took place 24 February 2021, when we returned with an extraordinary LGBTQI+ lineup of dancers, performers and video artists who offered visitors their interpretations of queer experimentation through the creative medium of livestream.

In line with our ethos of celebrating, championing and developing talent in the local area, we prioritised LGBTQI+ performers based in Ugly Duck’s neighbourhood of Southwark. Each selected local artist was provided with a bespoke support programme including mentoring sessions on professional, creative and technical practices. They worked alongside other artists from further afield.

This edition took place during another period of lockdown, so while we didn’t have any audience physically present, they were present in a digital form. We interacted and engaged with them via our Twitch channel, where we were streaming live.
